Co Curricular Activities
Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)
CCA (Co-curricular activities) is an integral part of our students’ holistic education. Through CCA, students discover their interests and talents while developing values and competencies that will prepare them for a rapidly changing world. CCA also promotes friendships among students from diverse backgrounds as they learn, play and grow together. Through CCA, students also develop a sense of identity and belonging to the school.
In Northshore Primary School, students can select from a variety of CCAs based on their interests and abilities. The school now has 13 CCAs from the 4 main groups, namely Physical Sports, Visual and Performing Arts, Uniformed Groups and Clubs & Societies.
In 2024, the school introduced SAIL to inform students and parents about the students’ progress in their CCA journey. SAIL stands for Character and Citizenship Education, Achievement, Involvement and Leadership. CCA does not focus only on CCA skills, but also includes other areas such as individual character traits, showcasing of CCA skills in different platforms (such as Singapore Youth Festival, National School Games, school performances, national competitions, etc), students’ participation during CCA sessions and also development of leadership skills. This report will be inserted in the students’ Holistic Development Profile at the end of the year.
